Problems with a video I have captured on adobe photoshop?
Basically the footage I have captured doesn't fit widescreen and doesn't correctly fit normal. The resolution also seems slightly off. When capturing the footage, I put the setting to 48khz widescreen pal. Any ideas how to cure this problem?
i take it you meant adobe premiere rather than photoshop?
is it elements or pro?
what was the device used to originate the footage?
what is the preferred output aspect ratio?
If you right click and go into the motion properties you should have an option to correct the aspect ratio. If you are converting squished footage (i.e. 16:9 that appears as 4:3 dimensions) then you need to make the height 66.66% of width.
The widescreen signal is in the video signal, you should not need to recapture.
If the quality looks pretty ropey it is likely to be one of the following:
the device resolution isn't very high (most digial cameras and phones record video at about a quarter standard def resolution)
the footage needs rendered, as you are only getting preview quality playback
your project properties need ammended to allow full quality playback.
